The Finca farm is situated in Spain, in Arens de Lledo in the Aragón region, which is approximately 200 kilometers south-west of Barcelona.
The Finca property falls under the jurisdiction of the town of Arens de Lledo. This is actually a small village with some 240 inhabitants, mainly living in the village. In earlier times three times as many people lived within the municipality. Many farms were continuously occupied, while they are deserted nowadays. The whole area seems to get deserted. The people that leave are the younger generation. A path through the forest leads to our Finca. Follow the signs for the Teruel PR-169 walkers path, starting at the west side of the village. It follows the river for about 5 kilometers.
Catalonia Caseres lies on the other side of the Algars river. It is in the Terra Alta region of Tarragona, Catalunya. The village seems to have a similar population. For us it is important because it enables an easier access to the Finca. Along the river runs a macadam road, to Bot and Horta. This can be used to reach a ford, which during times of low water levels can be easily crossed.
